Water Saving, TSE and Legionella Planning
Water source and hygiene planning should be part of the cooling-system design, especially for district cooling and water-limited sites. Apex equipment selection does not itself certify regulatory compliance; the owner and local specialists should confirm applicable requirements.
Alternative make-up water
Dubai Executive Council Resolution No. 27 of 2008 addresses thermal storage and alternative water sources for district cooling operators in Dubai. It identifies treated seawater, greywater and sewage water as alternatives to desalinated water. The scope and implementation should be checked against the current official rules for the project.

Water analysis before material selection
Provide a current make-up water analysis and operating water-treatment plan. Coil and casing materials, fill selection, blowdown and cleaning access require site-specific review. We do not publish a water-saving percentage without a project calculation or test basis.
Legionella risk management
Dubai Municipality maintains Technical Guideline 44 for controlling Legionella in water systems. Owners should use the current guideline with a qualified water-treatment and health-and-safety team; equipment features support, but do not replace, a site-specific control programme.
