Cooling Tower Engineering Resources

SELECTION GUIDANCE

Cooling Tower Engineering Resources

A useful quotation starts with complete design conditions. Use this checklist before sending an inquiry.

Required Selection Data

Thermal Conditions

Circulating water flow, hot-water temperature, cold-water temperature and design wet-bulb temperature.

Installation Conditions

Project location, elevation, indoor or outdoor placement, available footprint and airflow clearances.

Mechanical Requirements

Power supply, piping connections, pump head limits, sound target, drift requirements and redundancy.

Water and Materials

Water chemistry, corrosion exposure, process contamination risk and preferred FRP or steel construction.

Core Cooling Tower Terms

Range

The difference between entering hot-water temperature and leaving cold-water temperature.

Approach

The difference between leaving cold-water temperature and ambient wet-bulb temperature. A tighter approach generally requires more heat-transfer surface and airflow.

Open vs. Closed Circuit

Open circuit towers expose circulating water directly to air. Closed circuit towers keep the process fluid inside a coil while spray water and air remove heat externally.

Crossflow vs. Counterflow

Crossflow towers move air horizontally across falling water. Counterflow towers move air upward against downward water flow.

Industrial Cooling Tower RFQ

META RFQ SCREENING

Industrial Cooling Tower RFQ for Real Projects

Apex reviews cooling tower requests for factories, HVAC plants, data centers, chemical facilities, retrofits and export projects. Please send project data if you need engineering sizing, not a generic retail price check.

Buyer Fit

Who should submit this RFQ?

This page is for project owners, EPC teams, HVAC contractors, factory maintenance teams, distributors and purchasing teams with a real cooling tower duty. Apex cannot quote accurately without at least the project country, application, water flow or temperature range, and site condition.

Before You Ask for Price

Required for a Useful Quote

Project country, application, water flow, hot and cold water temperatures, design wet-bulb temperature and installation layout.

Replacement / Retrofit

Existing tower photos, nameplate, dimensions, water quality, access route and urgency help Apex identify the correct route.

Material Review

FRP, galvanized steel, stainless steel and closed-circuit coil options depend on corrosion exposure, water quality and service life expectations.

Ad-Matched Routes

Choose the Closest Project Route

Gulf Harsh Climate

For Saudi Arabia, UAE and nearby projects where high ambient temperature, dust, salt air, corrosion exposure and material selection affect tower life.

Closed-Circuit System

For clean process loops, glycol or isolated fluid circuits where contamination control, coil material and water treatment need review.

Compact Rooftop / Plant Room

For HVAC and building projects where footprint, lifting route, airflow clearance, noise target and service access decide tower fit.

Multi-Cell Industrial

For larger heat-rejection loads where cell quantity, redundancy, fan power, maintenance isolation and piping arrangement matter.

SEA Factory / HVAC Duty

For Indonesia and Vietnam factory, process-cooling, hotel, hospital, MEP and HVAC projects needing export-ready tower selection.

Replacement or Retrofit

For existing cooling tower replacement, spare parts, capacity upgrade or urgent downtime cases. Photos, nameplate and dimensions help us respond faster.

What Apex Reviews After Submission

1. Confirm Application

HVAC, data center, chemical, food, plastics, power, oil and gas, replacement, spare parts or other industrial use.

2. Check Design Basis

We compare flow, temperature range, wet-bulb, site layout and material risk before discussing a tower route.

3. Match Tower Type

Open circuit, closed circuit, crossflow, counterflow, round, galvanized, FRP or multi-cell options are reviewed against the duty.

4. Prepare Next Step

After engineering review, Apex can request missing data, share a model direction, or prepare a commercial quote path.

Quality Rule

We Prioritize Complete Project RFQs

Submissions with company name, country, application and at least one engineering parameter can be reviewed faster. General price browsing, school research and non-project inquiries should use the website resources before submitting a form.

Not Ready for RFQ?

If you are doing school research, asking for a general price list, or browsing without project data, start with the cooling tower overview and case center before submitting an RFQ.
