Description

The SHA is an SDV body with evaporative pre-cooling pads. Below the switch-over temperature it runs completely dry; on hot days water wets the pads, cooling the inlet air towards wet-bulb so the coil can deliver lower fluid temperatures. Water never touches the coil.
How it works

Selection on request
Ratings are provided per project after engineering review with our manufacturing partner. Send your fluid, flow, inlet/outlet temperatures, design ambient and site location for a duty-specific selection.
Middle East site notes
Confirm design dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures, power supply, water quality, coastal exposure, sound limit and installation clearances before final selection.
Features and options
- Cellulose pads; assumed 80% efficiency in preliminary ratings
- PLC dry/wet control on leaving-fluid temperature, Modbus/BACnet
- Water treatment options: softening/RO make-up, bleed control, UV
- Coil and frame options as SDV
Applications
Data centers in GCC · district-cooling auxiliaries · process loops needing approximately 40 °C · sites with limited water
Frequently asked questions
How is annual water use estimated?
Use hourly weather data for the project city. Design-point use must not be multiplied by 8,760 hours.
Does water touch the coil?
No. Water wets the pre-cooling pads, not the coil.
What maintenance do pads need?
Inspect and maintain pads and water treatment to suit water quality and operating conditions.
What about water hygiene?
The pads are not spray nozzles, but water treatment and a site-specific hygiene plan are still recommended.
